At Physical Therapy Associates Rehabilitation Services, we work with you, the case manager or adjuster to achieve the highest clinical outcomes while attaining quick case resolution.

We offer physical therapy and occupational therapy for injured workers at each of our five facilities.

For those cases which require further intervention in returning the client to work, we offer a CARF-accredited Occupational Rehabilitation "Back to Work" Program and Functional Capacity Evaluations. These programs are offered through ErgoWorks, a division of Physical Therapy Associates Rehabilitation Services.

ErgoWorks' Return to Work services include:

"Back to Work" Program

  • Accredited by CARF, The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission
  • Multidisciplinary program for employees injured at work
  • Provides a transition from acute care to return to work by addressing physical tolerance, endurance, safety and productivity
  • Uses aggressive exercise protocols as well as real/simulated work activities
  • Duration typically 2-3 hours per day, 3 to 5 times a week for 4 weeks
  • Written reports provided every two weeks to document work readiness, progress, and compliance

    Functional Capacity Evaluation
A comprehensive, structured and objective evaluation tool that provides information needed to define a worker's physical, functional, and vocational capabilities required for work. The evaluation can:

  • Determine the injured worker's ability to return to a specific job
  • Assign work levels according to the Dept. of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles
  • Identify secondary gain issues
  • Provides functional assessment information to physicians for classifying MMI
  • Offer information to assist with re-employment
